Note to all celebrities with endorsement deals: Pay close attention to what you're wearing! Charlize Theron is finding out the hard way that when you've got an exclusive contract, you've got to keep your end of the deal. Swiss watchmaker Raymond Weil, who'd hired the Oscar winner to be its "new face" and brand ambassador, is suing for the return of "substantial funds" (said to be $20 million) because Charlize allegedly broke her contract. The breach-of-contract suit claims that Charlize was the face of Dior perfume at the same time and "was actually photographed wearing a watch from the Christian Dior line" at a press event in Texas on March 14, 2006. Charlize was only supposed to sport Weil watches from October 2005 to December 2006. The case (and, presumably, Charlize) is headed to Federal Court for the Southern District of New York this month, where damages will be awarded at a jury trial. Source: intouch
