Charlie Yeung (楊采妮) is to be one of the first Hong Kong actresses to be featured on The Biography Channel. The channel started in the US and currently has versions worldwide, including Hong Kong since its launch on broadband television service nowTV in July. At today's press event, Charlie said that she is very honoured to be the first Hong Kong actress to appear on the channel. She revealed that the programme will uncover her life story, including photographs of her childhood. She added that she will share her showbiz experiences and openly talk about aspects of her private life that she has never revealed before. Having recently returned from filming in Hollywood, Charlie revealed that her new film, Bangkok Dangerous, will be released in Hong Kong this September. She added that, after working with so many people, she has made some good friends and enjoyed her time away. When reporters raised questions about the recent spate of celebrity weddings and asked Charlie about her thoughts on marriage, she replied that, when the right man comes along, she will definitely get married. But she said that, in the meantime, she will ignore any unpleasant comments about her martial status. She added that her principles towards a relationship have always been the same: when two people are in a relationship, they should share the joys and sorrows, respect each other and be able to overcome any problems together.
