change file type??

    neone kno how to change a file type??? well... dis is the problem ... i got a incomplete bitcomet file ...which is workin but how can i change the file to a completed file type ... i look annoying... lol.... thx in advance ...!!! -lol

    Hi,

    if you have an incomplete BitComet file, changing the filetype isn't going to make your file complete - the only way is to complete the download.

    -noclue I'm not sure what you're trying to do, maybe you could elaborate on your problem more.

    But anyway, you can change the filetype by renaming the file's extension. For example, a file called "Document.rft" (Richtext format), can be renamed to "Document.txt" (Plaintext format).

    Note: this only changes the way Windows and other applications see's the file - no changes have been made to the file itself, it is still a Richtext file.

  3. depends how far you've downloaded the file, usually i get stuck at around 98-99 percent i stop the torrent and rename it to .avi or .mp3 works great i use ms dos prompt to do the trick or u should try the method stated above.

    This method works with multimedia files (avi, mp3, etc), but you're likely to notice skips during playback as you haven't fully downloaded the file.
