Hong Kong DJ Cha Xiao Xin yesterday revealed on her radio show that Nicholas Tse and Cecilia Cheung have filed for separation, and that Cecilia's accidental meeting with Edison Chen was the reason for the split. Cha also stated in a Chinese magazine's column that Edison's involvement in the matter indirectly "saved Nicholas" from being labelled as "a man who lost both his marriage and money". Cecilia, who is currently busy with her new movie Repeat I Love You, is reportedly very worried about the current situation and "hoped that her parents-in-law will help to save her marriage". Cecilia's father-in-law Patrick Tse, who has always adored the actress and treated her like his own daughter, is constantly praising Cecilia for being nice and capable. While there were ongoing rumours about Cecilia not getting along well with her mother-in-law Deborah Lee, the latter had reportedly agreed to stand by Cecilia as she wants her grandsons to grow up in a complete family. It was said that if both Patrick and Deborah were to talk to Nicholas, he would certainly change his mind about the separation. Nicholas, who is known for his bad temper and rebellious streak in the past, has since mellowed down after his marriage with Cecilia. It was said that Nicholas would be able to handle the current matter in a mature manner like how he did during the 2008 sex photo scandal. The actor has also been working hard to support his family, trying his best to be a good husband and father to his children.
