there are many reasons that are unknown to us why wars start...the ones that are obvious are not always the main ones...

    Money (Greed) > All

There hasn't been a real holy war in I don't know how long. They fight now because they are financially backed.

US joined the WW2 which not surprising pulled them out of the Great Depression, Pearl Harbor was just an excause to make US enter the war sooner.

Hm, I kind of think some wars are caused by natural resources. Like President Bush. I think he only wants Iraq's oil. -.-

To try and understand the causes of wars...you need not look that far. Remember when you were a kid and you said so and so is no longer my friend because of this and that and I'll thump him on the nose.Serves him right!!
Well, translate that into a political perspective and the same basic case holds true.

War is caused by the need for power. Religion is often used as an excuse for war. It gets tangled up with Man's power hungry intentions. Peace is only a dream and total peace will never be a reality. If one war ends another wil begin. Im not saying that we should give up on peace, but you have to realize that in todays war its about capital in terms of land, labor, and money. Religion is only secondary.
