scams like this have been around for many many many many years, its very simple always use common sense and stay well clear of money transfers like western union etc stick to using a credit card, and like they said do your homework and when something sounds too good to be true, it usually is
some ppl are just to easily tricked =/ when they see a good buy they really want it and thats how they pretty much get you
lol when i was trying to sell my phone, some lady told me to ship it to nigeria AND pay for shipping, and THEN she would pay me... she even tried to ask for my bank info so she can transfer it over what a dyke lol
always be cautious..... i have only been scammed in an online game when i was a wee naive little boy...... not anymore
lol...thats sad. You actually have to be pretty dumb to get scammed plus they didnt mention ebay OR paypals fraud insurance... yes it is a hassle, but in the end if you were scammed you probably will get your money back. If your really pissed and have some free time you can always trace the scammer and 'mess' around with him. I think counterfeit items on ebay are more of a problem, pretty much everything from hong kong/mainland are fake and theres really no way of telling until you get the item.
^people make lots of money from it, and its cause people fall for them especially the ones from Africa, if no one fell for those stupid I have $999999999 in an escrow account and require $10000 from you to release it and i will give you 30% emails then they wouldnt send them however judging by the stupidly large amounts i recieve, i assume lots of people actually believe them.....
Scammers are everywhere these days. Even government officers get scammed http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2008/8/4/nation/20080804174423&sec=nation
"Dont let that sense of urgency or I got to do it today" Dang that's a tough one *cheers to those who understand what I wrote =)
Luckily I don't hestitate to buy something from eBay. I always take my time and check everything before I buy.
