Any methods to speed up healing or lessen stinging pain?

btw: cankersores are coldsores but inside the mouth, if you didn't know.

    Thanks!

a entire two page of remedies for the pain, and pain only, nothing can heal it :D

due to personal large amount of expeirence, i recommend the use of over the counter pain killers first ... which usually lasts around 5-7 hours (unless u rinse and stuff or lick the area, and will remove the substance) if nothing works, go a step larger and get a prescription from your dentist, cause usually family doctor would tell you to just use over counter stuff and it'll be gone asap...

other remedies i heard is salt/water and a few other things like milk manganese, but they've never worked for me.. you can disinfect it with mouth wash, but the thing will only hurt after 20minutes, it quickens the healing, so the myth goes... but i also read that the burn from the mouth wash damages that area to leave a scar when it heals so i stopped o_O

anyways lastly... i recommend the over the counter thing called "KANKA" produced by blistex. it makes it easy for you to apply because they have this stick that is attached to the cap, and u just open the cap and start rubbing the area a little bit to cause a coating to cover it :x very good, thumbs up to this product! it tastes funny though, since some of it will probably go all over your mouth so try and dry your mouth first b4 using it.

thanks. i used the search browser, looking for "canker sores" and "cankersores" (because i wasn't sure how it was spelled) and still didn't come up with results? but anyway, appreciate it. i've had one for about 5 days and it seems to be growing bigger, not smaller.. sadly.

My parents always say that I get them from eating foods that are "yeet-hay" (Cantonese) when translated directly means hot air.. kinda hard to explain lol.

If it doesnt get better within 2 weeks, go see a doctor. It could be an infection rather then a simple cankersore. Generally over the counter top stuff works, as long as it forms a tight seal around the cankersore it will heal within a week or less if u use it more then once a day.

  7. cankersores suck balls..... my mom told me to put either sugar or salt on it o_O iunno hahah i forgots.... i usually just man up and wait it out lol

Just drink lots and lots of water. I will gargle with it/ hold in my mouth right where the sore is, then swallow or spit whatever you choose. It'll hurt for like a couple seconds, but it'll feel better afterwards and will go away in a couple of days. :)

    haha.. mine too.

It generally means, fried junk and other stuff that aren't good to eat too much of.
