After writing the script for the acclaimed Double Vision, Su Chao Bin furthers his skills in the genre with the tension-filled ghost film Silk, which was officially selected for the out of competition section at the 2006 Cannes Film Festival. The film received five nominations at Taiwan's most prestigious Golden Horse Film Festival and won the Best Visual Effects award. Chang Chen, who has already proved his skills in art films such as Three Times, takes up the leading role as a capable but rather ill-tempered cop. His charismatic performance in Silk helps deliver an engaging story which mixes sci-fi, suspense, and horror into one intriguing piece.
Dedicated cop Tung (Chang Chen) helps weird scientist Hashimoto (Yosuke Eguichi) uncover the secret of how human beings become ghosts after death. Hashimoto and his two assistants (Barbie Hsu and Wilson Chen) have done much research on the anti-gravity Menger Sponge with which they trap a ghost child. Called in for his exceptional vision, Tung sees in the ghost child the "silk" which mysteriously connects human beings and ghosts. Little does he know, participating in this experiment will place him and even his girlfriend (Karena Lam) at odds with great dangers from the unknown world...

    For Normal playing:
I use VLC player. u can just select which sub u want in video tab.

    For DVDS:
I had that problem at the start aswell. The problem was: the english sub is actualy a sub file. Meaning that in the dvd player it says Subtitle 1 or 2, 1 is in chinese and 2 in english. The result is to open both files in VOB sub (google VOB sub-free program), then resave it into another folder, so it won't miss match. U need to have the subtitle same as the file name, inorder for programs to read it.

I prefer to use Adobe Encore to do sub matchs, cause u can add more then 1+ subtitles. Just the hecktic time i took to learn the program. xD
