Bowie Lam (林保怡) arrived in Japan to promote the new Chinese-Japanese-Korean collaborative drama, Strangers 6 <六個陌生人> with costars Toshiaki Karasawa and Oh Ji Ho. Aside from the delicious meals, Bowie’s trip to Japan was made even more memorable by experiencing a minor earthquake while there!

Over the last several days, Bowie took the Japan Rail to tour local places and immerse in the culture. Toshiaki took him out for meals to sample the local delicacies. While eating sushi together one night, Toshiaki pointed to a shaking cup on the table. Bowie’s heart gasped for a moment as he realized that an earthquake was taking place! Bowie recollected, “The Japanese people are mentally stronger than us in this aspect. Toshiaki Karasawa did not even flinch or appear afraid. I was shaken a bit!”

During the filming of Strangers 6 last year, Bowie and Toshiaki had formed an easy friendship. Toshiaki had given him an earthquake survival package earlier. In addition, Bowie vowed that if Toshiaki Karasawa were to go to Hong Kong one day, Bowie will serve as his guide to the metropolis.

Filming for Strangers 6 had taken place under 40 degrees Celsius. Portraying police officers in the drama, the actors had to film numerous action sequences. Bowie praised Toshiaki Karasawa for handling the action scenes especially well. Professing that Toshiaki was his idol, Oh Ji Ho also expressed satisfaction and cited the benefits in filming the drama together.
