Earlier, in Hong Kong's Internet Forums, netizens voted in a poll entitled, "2007's Trashiest TVB Series." The series, "Devil's Disciples" 《強劍》received the most votes and received numerous complaints in its early broadcast. "Devil's Disciples" received 350 votes in the "Trashiest Series Poll," which was 30% of all votes. In second place was Gigi Lai and Kevin Cheng's "Life Art" 《寫意人生》with 200 votes. Steven Ma Chung Wai and Shirley Yeung Si Kei's "A Change of Destiny" 《天機算》was in third place with 150 votes. In "Devil's Disciple," Bosco Wong's image was similar to Stephen Chow Sing Chi's comedian roles. However, his humorous image was unsuccessful and the gags were heavily criticized. Some audience members even demanded TVB to stop airing the series midway! "Devil's Disciple" received 31 points in its initial week of broadcast. However, the ending dropped to only 29 points, breaking the record of all time low ratings for a finale broadcast. In the ending, Bosco's succeeded in mastering his martial arts technique. glad i wasn't the only one who didn't like this crap. the series used way too much computer graphics application and the ending was korny with a K!!!!! they made the series compared to aaron kwok and ekin cheng's storm riders mad wack. i just think tvb has got to stop using the crazy computer graphics applications and go back to old school graphics like demi gods and semi devils type of graphics. those were the days when old school tvb series were worth watching. i prefer watching modern tvb series nowadays.
i think the series is very substandard. the fighting scenes are lousy...with all exaggerated effects...what disgusts me is their language and hairstyles...trying to be funny but it isn't at all funny...and the ending is the worst i've seen...even worse than the spinning camera scene in Heart of Greed.. but i still love bosco's mum and brother lol...funny mother-son
i thought this series was pretti attractin in the beginnin silli ofcourse but wuds wrong with a litto fun...people should just enjoy some humor...it was an okai series i thought
i didn't think it was that bad then people thought it was. even wanting it to be banned? hahha that's really taking it far..i thought life art was worse to be honest..haha
