i think it depends on your feet
cause some ppl cant take asics cause it hurts their feet, but i love them so eh...
gotta try different brands to see what you prefer

I also use Asics, but honestly, there is no one best shoe. You just gotta try a bunch and see which one is best for you.

like spech just mentioned, there is no best shoe. it's best to go into a running specialty store and get fitted for a shoe that matches your foot type. you might need more stability or cushioning, have wide feet, narrow feet, etc... the people in the specialty store can tell you which shoes would be suited for you. try on a bunch different of shoes and see which you like.

personally i prefer asics and nb ... function before fashion! :)

the best shoes for all people are their feet.... scientists discovered that all the shock absobrtion stuff and support is comparable to women wearing high heels, but what makes it worse u´re running, damaging ur knees and ankles significantly, so u´ll end up like what took Victoria Beckham years of high heels wearing in no matter of time lol.
So to put it blunt, people with much weight, will damage themelves even more, if they put on those useless trend of shock absorption and supportive shoes. It´s really scary how the word of such sportswear giants like Nike, have that much influence, that to wear these kinds of shoes will be good for ur health, after they just completed researching them and trying them on a few dummies without any longtime evaluation. Given the circumstances, if You want to run don´t go after trend, but rather invest Your time how to get into shape and have fun without getting urself into serious health issues in the aftermath. So my tip use ur feet or use neutral shoes ;)

I am using Asics Cumulus at the moment. I am looking to upgrade to Asics Nimbus. I have high arch feet.

for me i find nike to be the best in terms of trainers. reebok make some good running shoes as well but i think nike are the ones which i find the most comfortable. not sure why but it is because they tend to fit my feet better. i find that i don't find adidas shoes to be very comfortable but i think it is because it doesn't fit my foot shape.

I like the shoes from the Hush Puppies. They are of good quality and most of all they are smooth and comfortable. There’s no single ‘best shoe’ – all of us have different needs. All kinds of things – your bio-mechanics, your weight, the surfaces you run on, and clearly, the shape of your feet – mean that one person’s perfect shoe can be awful for another person.
