歷 史 1985年是美麗年代的開始，亞洲電視開創選美歷史新的一頁，舉辦首屆亞洲小姐競選，突破一般選美的框框，令觀眾有意外驚喜！從此「亞洲小姐」這四個字，成為美麗、智慧、才華、身份的象徵，亦成為全城觀眾每年的期待。 擁有21屆歷史之大型選美活動「亞洲小姐競選」，今年昂然踏入第22屆。本著亞洲電視不斷求變、創意求新的精神，屢創選美史上的先河。1995年，首創不受年齡限制的參賽條件，成為全城熱門話題，泡制了「宮雪花神話」。 2004年除港澳特區賽區外，首次接受亞洲地區如韓國、日本、新加坡、馬來西亞、印度、泰國、菲律賓、哈薩克、烏茲別克等佳麗參加，成為真正名符其實的「亞洲小姐」，獲得空前成功，亦令選美活動進入一個新的紀元。從此，亞洲小姐競選更國際化，迄今已成為世界選美史上重要賽事之一。2004年亦首設立中國內地賽區，於杭州舉行總決賽，影響深遠。 此後2005-2009年中國內地賽區總決賽分別在西安、大連、濟南、天津及廣東東莞舉行，每年報名佳麗人數數以十萬計。2006年更首度設立網路賽區及臺灣地區賽區，讓整個選美活動更全面，更時尚化。同時『2006亞洲小姐競選總決賽』(亞洲區)更首度沖出香港，於澳門進行總決賽，亦是一個新的突破。『2009亞洲小姐競選』，適逢中華人民共和國成立六十周年，故以盛世中華之理念，參選佳麗以中國內地、香港、澳門及臺灣地區為主。 『2010亞洲小姐競選』，將繼續盛世中華概念，參選佳麗仍以兩岸四地佳麗為主，加入全球不同地區的華人參與。再者，今年我們將重新為大賽注入更多亞洲元素，廣邀各個亞洲地區如韓國、日本、新加坡、馬來西亞、印度、泰國、菲律賓的亮麗美女參賽，令賽事更具代表性、及更富有亞洲色彩。 大會主題 踏上美麗青雲 美麗使命 Since Miss Asia Pageant was first screened in 1985, the event has injected great vitality into the concept of competition and participation and has been an annual event of great popularity, with many golden moments cherished still by appreciative audiences. History suggests that Miss Asia contestants are guaranteed a promising future. Most of the contestants, such as Eva Lai, Nina Li, Jaclyn Chu, Veronica Yip, Alice Chan, Candy Lo, Losa Law, Belinda Hammett, Kristy Yeung, have gone on to become popular stars and household names in the entertainment industry. In 2004, the event made a historic breakthrough in Hong Kong beauty pageantry, with contestants from all Asian countries free to participate. This innovation laid a new foundation for regional beauty pageants and further promoted the culture of beauty pageantry in Asia. For the first time, contestants from Mainland China, Vietnam, India, Lebanon, Thailand, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, the Philippines, Malaysia, Kazakstan, Uzbek, Macau and Hong Kong competed for the title of Miss Asia. The winner truly deserved the title of Miss ‘Asia’. The year of 2004 was also another milestone of Miss Asia Pageant, the Miss China Asia final was the first time ever held in Mainland China, the heavenly city – Hangzhou and was proudly successful. 2006, the pageant was held in Macau and was an unprecedented success, helping boost the territory as a tourist attraction. This year, 2010, the Miss Asia Pageant continues to employ the concept of the heyday of China. The contest will be exclusively catered for the beautiful, passionate, intelligent, charismatic and young women from mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan.
