I have been prescribed with Retin-A 0.025% Gel to get rid of acne scars, but right now its itching so much, Im quite tempted to scratch it :(. I have used it for one week and its giving me rashes and erythroma. Its a really awful medication :(

Has anyone experienced this type of medicine?

If yes -> How long did you use it for, when did you see the benefits?

i was prescribed that medication recently, and i had the exact same symptoms as you as well as having REALLY dry skin, so i stopped the using it. Tbh, i couldnt see any improvements from the medication, but then again, i only used it for like 2 weeks. But i'm never going to be using it again though, i was only able to see it make the skin condition's worst - dry skin, red, itchy.

  3. Dude, just MAKE SURE!!!!!!!!!! whatever cream you use doesn't have any steroid in it cus it will MESS you up in the long run, i wouldn't touch that stuff with a barge pole.

you may have to stick it out, its a great incentive to eat raw foods (as in raw veg etc NOT raw meat) and generally eat healhily.

Well, I've heard a lot of people say online that the first two weeks of using this you would get those sympthoms. After two weeks it starts to improve. I have skin peeling and a bit of dry skin. You need to use it for around 6-8 weeks before you see benefits

oh my, I've used Hydrocortisone before for a skin rash and thats a corticosteroid.

I do sometimes eat raw veggies, like carrots, cucumber and tomatoes

  5. ^ yeah, its ok providing your time with it is very brief, try not to use it anymore, usually the problems come or may seem worse but it will get better before it goes away completely.

Yeah, I used it for <5 days. There was instructions on the box saying to not use it for more then a 7 days. Risk of Cushing's syndrome.

I thought Retin-A had lots of vitamin A in it cause of the name. I've never used it but didn't hear lots of good stories about it. Mostly of what you already said.
