As the title says, does anyone know where to get a map of Japan in Cantonese? I've tried google, its all in English.. If anyone could provide a link to it? Thanks in advance
lol if its in all chinese dialects have the same characters for reading and what not... so yeah just do what metzo said
lol yeah, cantonese isnt a written language, its just spoken... what you should be looking for is a chinese map hahaha
A really good way of finding anything in Chinese is to first try to translate what it is that you're looking for into written Chinese (I used Babelfish, not the best but it will work well enough for simple translations). Then use that Chinese text in google. All the hits would then be in Chinese. -what? This should get you started: 日本地圖 Hint: copy and paste the Chinese text into google images search. Looking up the above (by following the same steps that I had outlined), I was able to find this nice quality map of Japan annotated in Chinese: http://a4.att.hoodong.com/41/96/01200000000481113749600532841.jpg (26MB HiRes) (2MB LoRes as sample) Ralph
Yeah... you should change the title of this thread because it makes me question why you need a Chinese map of Japan if you don't even know anything about the language. One thing though, written Chinese has different systems depending on the geographical location-- Hong Kong and Taiwan tends to use traditional characters while China uses simplified characters. And even though Hong Kong and Taiwan share the traditional character system, Hong Kong has also started to gradually blend with the simplified characters that China uses because of the 1997 reunification. So, I would recommend you search Google in traditional Chinese characters with the added specification of Hong Kong for the best result. It'd be really hard to find what you need in English, I think.
