The turnover rate at TVB has reached an all-time high in recent years. After Myolie Wu (胡杏兒), Ron Ng (吳卓羲), Kate Tsui (徐子珊), Océane Zhu (朱璇), Charmaine Sheh (佘詩曼), Christine Kuo (苟芸慧), and many others claiming they won't be renewing their contracts with TVB, even Miss Hong Kong 1999 winner Sonija Kwok (郭羨妮) has revealed she won't be renewing her contract as well. People may have the misconception that Sonija Kwok is no longer with TVB because we haven't seen her in any TVB drama series in a long time. In fact, Sonija's contract with TVB has only recently ended. Reportedly, Sonija has decided to not renew her contract but will instead sign with her husband Zhu Shao jie (朱少杰)'s Mainland China production company. Earlier today, reporters tried to confirm the rumors with Sonija, she replied back using SMS: "My contract with TVB is officially over. I am on my holidays right now. I will let everyone know if I am working again." It is said her husband has helped her get a role for a Chinese drama series and a movie. When asked if she's signing a contract with her husband's company, she said: "No." 15 Years at TVB Despite not winning any notable awards or recognition, Sonija has been loyally working with TVB for close to 15 years. With TVB's hard push on promoting new actors and actresses, established actors have been neglected and used as stepping stones for newcomers. Last year, Sonija was involved in the drama series Under the Veil <無雙譜> that already casts TV Queen Kristal Tin (田蕊妮) and the heavily promoted Eliza Sam (岑麗香) leaving Sonija's role undermined and overshadowed. To make matters worst while filming Under the Veil <無雙譜> Sonija had a miscarriage due to overworking. TVB attempted to persuade Sonija to stay but it's no surprise she stood firm on her decision. Since marrying director Zhu Shao jie (朱少杰) the two have been apart due to work. so leaving TVB would allow her to be closer to her husband and also receive better treatment filming Chinese drama series. I thought she left a long time ago, I don't see her in any series; maybe once a year. It makes sense that she's lesving, closer to her family, TVB hadn't done anything for these people, they have so many artist on contract but don't even use them. Instead, all I see is the same actors in every series.

True, her family comes first but TVB haven't really done much to get some good quality scripts to offer her and persuade her and others. If all they get is 2nd string roles and crappy roles. The pay isn't great alright, at least have some good roles to work with and some stability. TVB doesn't offer job security to many of their employees.
I always thought she was really pretty despite her age Haven't seen her much lately.. but hopefully she returns one day. In the minds of TVB, hard to promote you as the lead if all you film is like 1 drama per 1 or 2 years..Still hope she returns though.
Another great pretty veteran out the door. The good she's being with her family, the bad don't get to see her act any more. That's life granted TVB has been sucking regards to their veterans...
though i'm not a huge fan of hers, her acting's pretty good. i'm really surprised she didn't win any awards >_>

L'esgargot was a good one by her too. But I guess that's why they keep promoting Grace Chan, Sisley, Jeannie, and Moon Lau I hope Linda doesn't leave though.. she's prettiest one out of all the fa dans. Selena will stay as long as she can act, money not an issue. Eliza can barely speak cantonese.. don't think mainland is on her list yet
