Thursday May 29, 2008 China HKPAG representatives including Andy Lau (劉德華), Sammi Cheng (鄭秀文) and Joey Yung (容祖兒) have arrived in the areas of Sichuan affected by the earthquake earlier this month. The celebrities attended a Buddhist prayer ceremony today at Chengdu's Baoguang Temple to pray for the victims and survivors of the disaster, which has left over 80,000 dead and displaced millions of people. The ceremony was attended by many of the relief workers as well as distinguished guests representing China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. As the main 20 minute prayer was being recited, even the heavens were moved to tears as the sunshine gave way to a small rainshower. Andy, Sammi and Joey then went on to meet the volunteers, emergency workers and other people who are still working hard to help those affected by the disaster. Meanwhile, other HKPAG members, Gilbert Lam (林韋辰), Joey Meng (萬綺雯) and Grace Cheung (張家瑩) visited some of the injured in a local hospital to bring messages of support and encouragement. credits: batgwa.

i love it when people take the time to help the less fortunate ones but why the hell they need the "media" to know. didn't they want to keep their private life on the down low; now, they just want the attention for something so little. celebrities .. what a bunch of fake heartless bastards. little work but expect so much attention. what about those true volunteers .. don't respect artists like these losers.
andy and sammi are very good role models in the entertainment industry. a plus to that is that both are top singers and actors.
I think Sammi and Andy makes a good partnership. Hopefully they continue collaberating together in doing things that help the society like what their doing now. n glad to see Samnmi getting involed again and cant wait to see her new movie.
