On stage, he's passionate, his love songs pull at your heartstrings. On screen, he travels through time, acting in so many various roles. HE IS ----HONG KONG HEAVENLY KING ANDY LAU! At 40 plus, Andy is known as the "Never aging Myth" in the entertainment circle, in fact there have been media reports that he spends 58 on "anti-aging" injections every year. How is he like off-screen? What is his form of "play & making merry"? How does he take care of himself & health? How does he maintain his tip-top condition? Recently, Andy has been busy with the filming of <Three Kingdoms>. Finally, we have a chance to have an interview with him. Through this interview, we got to know a different Andy Lau, a true & real Andy Lau. When we mention about the "never aging" trick, Andy seems a little embarrassed. He feels that men discussing a lot about skincare etc can be quite "womanly". But the reporters' intensive questioning finally made him answer. "I feel that this is a matter of attitude. Men generally are more prone to jealousy, and will tend to consider win or lose very is important, even more so than women. On top of that, men have to shoulder the pressure from family as well as career, and that makes men age even faster. Going through wind & rain, I feel that I am indifferent to such questions. I don't take to heart such matters of personal gains. Just to have a balanced attitude. Perhaps like what women say about men at forty, they are just like a flower with endless charm, this charm is at its strongest capacity." Healthy Lifestyle - Loves eating Bo Lo Bun R = Reporter/ A = Andy (As a star, the body is the best capital. Andy has the habit of "many light meals" and having a balanced diet. In recent years his healthy breakfast: potatoes, rice, vegetables, juice. Just a simple meal like this will ensure him being healthy & looking good!) R :: Do you have a personal nutritionist? Do you have a special arrangement? After all, your body is no longer your own, it belongs to your company & your fans. A :: My body only belongs to one person, and that is my mum. She gave birth to me and I was made by her. Except for my parents, my body does not belong to anyone else. My "performace career", that belongs to everyone else, to all my fans. I don't have a personal nutritionist, and I don't have any special arrangement. My eating habits - less salt, more fresh fruits & vegetables. R :: Which is your favorite food? From where? A :: I'm not picky on food. My favorite is Hong Kong's Bo Lo Bun. (note :: Bo Lo Bun is a sweet bread bun from Hong Kong. After baking, it is golden brown in colour and the texture is crispy and looks like a pineapple, hence the name.) R :: In <Protege> you ate caviar in Thailand. Was that real? A :: Everything filmed in the movie is fake. In reality, I have not eaten caviar in a year. Foreigner's stuff is still not as nice as our Chinese stuff. If I were to chose, I would prefer bean sauce much tastier than caviar! haha R :: Do you enjoy eating road side stalls food? A :: Yes, I do but I don't often get the chance to, so I can't recommend you anything. But when eating at road side stalls, you have to watch out for their hygiene, so you will not get sick after eating. Healthy Lifestyle - Drinking Mum's soup everyday (Even during the heat of summer at 30 Deg C, Andy Lau persists on drinking warm water. This is because warm water helps in blood circulation and prevents aging. Andy says, the principle of health is very simple, being practical is the difficult step. First of all, you have to understand your own body's physique, then in co-ordination with adequate exercise and suitable eating & lifestyle habits, you will naturally be healthier.) R :: Do your parents brew you special soups? A:: Mum is always brewing soups. I'm the kind of person who cannot live without soup for a day! Not any special soups, just the common soups we Chinese often drink. R :: What drinks do you take often? A :: Water, I don't take cold drinks. Sometimes a cup of coffee in the morning. R :: Do you smoke in private? A :: No, I've quit smoking long ago. R :: Do you have any special ways to protect your voice? A ::A Chinese physician has specially concocted a kai sheng cha (voice "opening" tea - literally translated basically it helps him to be able to prepare his throat & voice for singing) I have no idea with regards to the formulation, it is prepared by my family & colleagues who would brew the tea for me.
The whole riding attire is not very flattering on him... -mellow And I really don't believe the fact that he doesn't drink regularly... Still think he got loads of placenta injections @_@bbb
i think he does age; maybe at a less frightening rate cmp to others ... and that could be the help of plastic surgeons!
that pic looks scary...very unflattering indeed! They should've chosen one to fit the title. But I really think there's more to it than just healthy eating...who'd reveal their cosmetic "secrets" ie:botox!
Yea.. agree.. that pic.. I don't know.. lol! it's just weird haha! Andy's never aging myth >> I wonder.. has he ever been caught by reporters visiting a plastic surgeon or having some kind of facial abnormalities like so many other US stars? Well, I think he's been aging quite gracefully if he hasn't done kind of injections or surgeries. One thing is quite true.. he's skinny!
