Andy Lau's fans were full of of surprises in his birthday party Andy Lau had his last 2009 birthday party with 800 fans on boxing day. The following day, he participated in the "5th Wah Chai Corner Bowling Competition" and his team came second. There were lots of surprises waiting for him at the party. Andy used the theme of "Continuous holiday surprise" in his blog. He said in the party, there are many "close relatives" (fans) telling him that they are either getting married or having babies. When they were playing some games in the party, he called some random numbers to talk to his fans to give them a surprise. His chauffeur dressed up as Santa Claus and held up a knife to help cut the cake, depicting "knife hidden underneath a smile". (笑裏藏刀) The next day, 200 fans took part in the bowling contest. Andy was a bit worried that there might be some fans with hidden talents as his opponent, but he had to face the challenge with a positive mind. His motto is "never to give up", that is what he calls "Andy's spirit". His partner in his A team were Ken Cheng and Ng Ka Lok whilst the B team was led by Kandy Wu, chief bowling athletes, nicknamed "bowling prodigy". Andy's team appeared to be shaky from the start, but did very well as they came second. After the contest, Andy apologized to everybody, saying that he didn't play well and he was sorry.
