Google maps, that's all you need. Gas Buddy, TripAdvisor.. pretty much same apps you can find on ios..
Google Maps.. Waze.. and Gas Buddy for driving is all you really need.. Yelp and Foursquare for looking up food

Sweet, might try that then. I use Nova Launcher instead, mix in with the Tesla Unread Plugin to see the notification count. Light Flow to control notification light. Sixaxis controller to use PS3 controller on my phone UberSync to add fb display pic to my contacts. (rarely use it now)
nova and apex are exactly the same imo, so either is good always wanted to try light flow, does it actually work legit?
Yeah, my Nexus 5 has a different setting for the flashing LED than my S3, so stuff like whatsapp, facebook messenger didn't show any LED if i get a message in my Nexus, where as S3 just blinks away at everything.
I really like Flipp, it consolidates all your weekly grocery/retail/big box type stores' flyers into one convenient location/app. A big plus that I find is the search function, it'll grab just the 'clipping' from the full flyer when returning your search results, extremely useful! Availble for iOS too.

I can switch my screen off just by swiping my hand over my phone. It doesn't lock the phone, it just switches the screen off. So, the processes running on the phone is still active.
