AKB48’s first original album, “Koko ni Ita Koto“, sold 321,000 copies on its very first day, thus landing first place on June 8th’s Oricon Daily Album Ranking. According to AKB48’s record label King Records, “Koko ni Ita Koto” shipped out an initial 1,110,000 copies, over double the amount for last year’s best album, “Kamikyokutachi“.
