omg thanks for your link Knoctur_nal...it says on the site... "Even with the low voltage processor and SSD drives, the Asus Eee PC 900 produced an incredible amount of heat. Granted, other low-cost mini notebooks we've reviewed get even hotter, but we hoped the Eee PC 900 wouldn't get this toasty. The keyboard and bottom of the notebook got quite hot even under normal use, and the fan was always running in an attempt to keep the system cool. Fan noise was among the quietest we've heard. The only way to tell the fan is blowing is to put your hand next to the air vent to feel the warm air blow past." hmm maybe i should change my mind on getting this...
There are a few other ultra portable notebooks to keep an eye out for. Dell E: http://www.engadget.com/2008/06/12/dell-e-and-e-slim-revealed-taking-on-eee-and-air-in-one-fell-sw/ Acer Aspire One: http://www.dramasian.com/forum/showthread.php?t=33394&highlight=acer Knoc
for that price paying about $100 usd more.. you can get a regular laptop... more powerful but other than that... if you want a portable not very useful can't even do much with those small one.. then go for it.
the make isn't bad its just u could pay a little extra and if u rele don't need it to be that small u can get some much better specifications on a laptop just for a little more. besides when saying this i do know that it will prob cost about £400 range but u can always haggle it down.
Looks good to me, I'd find a model with more then 2 gb of ram though, I'm assuming that you're running Vista, if you're not then you're pretty much set there.
