Director Herman Yau (邱禮濤) was joined by cast members of his new film Rebellion <同門>, including Ada Choi (蔡少芬), Shawn Yue (余文樂), Elanne Kong (江若琳), Ella Koon (官恩娜) and Chapman To (杜汶澤) for the blessing ceremony to mark the start of filming in Shum Shui Po yesterday. A red wine toast was also arranged to tie in with the triad theme of the film.

It has been a while since Ada last appeared in a big screen production and she revealed that she only agreed to the project because Herman was at the helm. She said that she had always wanted to work with him and they will be heading to Thailand for location filming shortly.

Ada said that her workload has increased following her wedding in January and her income has also gone up, so she is hoping to save more money for a rainy day. Asked when she plans to have a baby, she replied that her work is still taking priority, so she will think about having children later. As for whether she will be allowed to film any kissing scenes for the film, she smiled that she has agreed with her husband, Max Zhang (張晉), that they will always hold respect for each other, so no matter how intimate the scene is during filming, then they will always pull away from the character once the cameras stop rolling.

After suffering from severe back pain recently, Ada said that she has been to the doctors, who have diagnosed her with an infection of the spinal cord. She added that she had been worried that this could leave her paralysed, but fortunately she learned that after treatment it would not affect her day-to-day routine and breathed a sigh of relief.

Shawn had a few glasses of wine at the event and his eyes seemed particularly bloodshot. He explained that he will be filming a scene where he is drunk, so he had downed half a bottle of whisky earlier on to make things seem more realistic. He laughed that when he is drunk, he is more likely to fall asleep than say the wrong things.

There have been reports recently that Chapman has been upsetting people and this has affected his work opportunities and his economic position. Asked about the rumours, Chapman denied that there was a problem, saying that this was the second film he has taken on this year and the reports are all made up.

In a change to her usual sexy songstress image, Ella will be playing a gun-wielding gangster in the film. To prepare, she has been busy learning to shoot in the hope of making her role more realistic. She said that she is quite worried about a scene where she will be slapped by Jun Kung (恭碩良) and she laughed that she plans to let him hit her hard so that the scene can be completed in just one take.

This is Elanne's second collaboration with Shawn and she will be playing a girl who has a secret crush on him. Having recently worked on TVB series The Academy III <學警狙擊> with Ella's rumoured boyfriend Ron Ng (吳卓羲), she seemed rather embarrassed when he was raised in conversation by reporters.
