Chinese actress Crystal Liu is scheduled to visit Korea to promote her upcoming new film next month, according to the film's co-producer DIGITAL STUDIO 2L on Friday. DIGITAL STUDIO announced in a press release that Crystal, along with director Wilson Yip and fellow Chinese actress Kara Hui, will attend the press conference, interviews and a V.I.P screening for SFX martial film "A Chinese Ghost Story" on May 4 in Korea. "A Chinese Ghost Story," a remake of the 1987 film of the same name, tells the story of Ning Tsai-Shen who spends the night at a haunted temple and falls in love with a ghost named Nieh Hsiao-Tsing who is bound for all eternity by a tree spirit that sucks the life out of its victims. "I feel a bit sad that I'll only be promoting the movie in Korea for a short time because I have to return to filming my next project," Liu was quoted as saying. "Still, I am happy to be going to Korea and hope to plan another visit in the future." Crystal Liu first started out in the entertainment industry with her first role in the TV series "The Story of a Noble family" and has since appeared dramas "Chinese Paladin," "The Return of the Condor Heroes" and films "The Forbidden Kingdom" and "Love in Disguise." She also branched out into the music industry after signing a recording contract with Sony Music Entertainment Japan in August 2005 and released her first single "Mayonaka no Door" the following year. "A Chinese Ghost Story" is set to open in local theaters on May 12. Source: Asiae
Crystal Liu is one of the actresses that looks the best in these type of costumes and films. I don't think it'll be as good as the classic Leslie and Joey one but it should be good. I have the screener and didn't watch it cause I'm waiting for a HQ version to be release.
