Our servers are put on a separate website and will act like a filehost website. So technically it will have nothing to do with PA. We will have full control over these servers, all files are private and exclusive to only PA members who donate, and we will be able to store old/new dramas forever without the fear of losing them. The reason why I ask members to message me is because not all members will be able to donate. Depending on who the member is, I might ask extra questions to ensure our servers are safe. All search engine crawlers like Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc are denied access to our servers so we will always be hidden. Again thank you everyone for your suggestions, they were all very useful and helped in changing an idea into reality! IDM Setup First you need to log into Pserve and enable direct downloads. To do this.. Click My Account and make sure Direct downloads is checkmarked Note: Once direct download is checkmarked, the watch online feature won't work unless this is disabled again. Now you have to set up your IDM. Click Options -> Site Logins Tab -> New For Server /path type in *pserve.se Then for User login and password type in your pserve account info. Next Click Options -> Connection -> Default max. conn. number -> Set to 8 Click Scheduler -> Files in the queue -> Set Download "2" files at the same time. If you get this error "Cannot download this file. Details: HTTP:/1.1.503 Service Temporarily Unavailable" lower max. conn number to 7, 6, 5 etc. until it goes away. Account Sharing Thanks Recca, that's a really good question. I sort of assumed this would be an unspoken rule and that members would know not to do this but I think it's better to just state it clearly so all donators know. Members are strictly prohibited from sharing their accounts and if caught will be banned from our servers and PA altogether. There are two reasons why: 1. Our servers are private. We don't want anyone who is not a member of PA or has not spoken with me to have access to our servers. Sharing your account with others compromises everything. 2. Our servers have limited resources (Bandwidth/Speed) and I've calculated exactly how many users we can handle for top download speeds. If a number of members shared their accounts our servers would become very slow and it would be very noticeable. To prevent members from abusing the server (although I doubt this will happen), we have many tools in place, for example we can track the highest bandwidth usage per account/ip, the number of different ips each user logs in from, what files are downloaded per account/ip, etc. This is just the tip of the iceberg, we also have other ways to find out if we suspect a certain member is sharing, so please don't do it!

Personally, I really want to have 720p/1080p stuff with only one download link (hated downloading one movie with 10 different parts) but this is really out of our control and depends entirely on how many members donate. The more members participating in donations = bigger storage. For now dramas in rmvb format will have higher priority over everything else BUT if a donator requests for 720p/1080p version of something, we'll definitely put it on the servers. However, if we ever start running out of space (and not enough donations to expand) we may have to remove the 720p/1080p after 1-2 months so that we can put other dramas on the server. (One 720p movie is like 1-3 full drama series. lol) Best case scenario is we have enough members donating so that we can store 720p/1080p stuff without any problems.
What kind of files are hosted, is it just tvb drama? Is it going to include china/korean/japanese/taiwanese drama and moves? Music?
This is great news! Will all the old series eventually goes to the PA server? Or it is only by request? I wanted to donate...but need to wait for a bit as the price is a bit high for me. Thanks b-lee!
We will be uploading everything! If there is a drama we haven't added to the server yet, you can make a request so we can add it right away. I believe it's set to (default)10 download threads at 1.5mb/s. When I use a download manager to download I get around 2-6mb/sec
b-lee, do you need server help? i have about 1.5tb of free space on a 100mbps US server. PM me if you need it
