This is A Co-Production Between CCTV/TVB After Wu Zhi Shu dies, Joe Ma leans heavily on Fan Ai's advice - which eventually lures him to officially invade the other countries (Zhung Yuan). As Joe sets off with Fan Ai, this is the moment of no return as all secret identities will be revealed. Sonia sees them off after giving Fan Ai a 'peace' charm thingo. Damien is gathering his men to suprise Joe's capital once he and his army leaves. Joe's son is left behind to guard the city. Damien invades Joe's country successfully and inhabits the palace. Sonia tries to get Joe's son to leave and he almost kills her when he finds out what she's been doing all along - but he lets her off and is reunited with Damien's sister. However as they run out of the palace, they are confronted with Damien and his army. His sister pleads for his life and their freedom, promising never to return - Damien kills them both. Meanwhile Joe finds out what has happened. He is now stuck between the countries he is trying to invade and returning home to fight a war he can't win. Obviously peeved at Fan Ai - Fan Ai advises him it was too late to turn back and he had promised Joe he would help him become the Warlord of Zhung Yuan. So Joe does become the Warlord, but its only on paper as no one really supports him. He rushes back to the capital with his exhausted army. Joe finds Xi Shi and finds out she had been using him all along. Doesn't kill her (WHY THE Heck NOT ????) and runs out to meet Damien. Damien disarms him and wants him kept alive, as Joe pleads to die. Fan Ai takes pity and throws him a sword, on which Joe kills himself. Thus Wu kingdom is over. Damien is reinstated but is a changed man. Fan Ai recongnises this and asks to be dismissed from service. Damien tries to keep him and almosts kills him but Mun Chung pleads mercy and he is allowed to go free. Meanwhile Sonia goes canoeing with the queen. The Queen basically forces Sonia to suicide as she was scared Damien would go the same path as Joe. i've watched this series alreadi.. and i think it's definitely worth watching~! its sorta boring if you're not into this sorta genre but i think the guy that plays 越王勾踐 is really good at his acting .. especially when u compare the diversity of the different roles he's played in the past.. beginning slightly borign.. but the ending is worth it~!
this series is pretty well made, i stroy line rocks, but if you love action then i think you going to be a lil disapointed just a little, definitely worth watching
