I wanted to ask the same question...
    are you talking about Protestants?

Since... Christianity (whether Protestant or Catholics)
we are all supposed to be evangelists... which means..
we are to spread the gospel which is stated in the
    Great Commission:

    Matthew 28:19-20
19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in[a] the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

Answer your other question "Do Catholics go to heaven?"
    I think Leefoolong said it...
Anyone who truly believes that Jesus died for our sins and He rose again.
Not all "Protestants" or "Catholics" will go to heaven. I put them in quotes
because people will say "I go to church" or "I practice Catholicism or Christianity (I don't think that's a word I can't think of it at the moment)"
This doesn't mean you will go to heaven.

Please please... be careful in everything that you hear. You can't believe everything that you hear. You really must discern whether what you heard is right or wrong. Is your source reliable? Is this person trustworthy?

I don't believe this is true, since Jesus writes parables in Matthew talking about Hell. If you want me to name a few or give you passages you can ask me personally.

I guess, my question to you is... How do you feel about people's souls disappearing if they don't go to heaven? I don't know since you just wrote it, I don't know what the connotation that you have in saying it... It seems that in both outcomes are pretty good (outcomes meaning going to heaven or their sould disappearing). Let's say that your closest friend will not be going to heaven... his/her soul will disappear for eternity... now does that change how horrible it sounds... I think it still sounds as bad as going to Hell...

Some catholics go to heaven and some dont. Some christians go to heaven and some dont. All depends on God and no one on earth, according to the Bible, should judge other people.

No Its only depend upon what some one did for the life after death. If a person who is Catholic, can only deserve Heaven if he did some good jobs in the world.

Its not whether you are catholic or not, its about your relationship with Jesus and surrendering your life to God everyday and admitting that you are a sinner and have fallen short of the glory of God

Only God knows! We can only speculate but ultimately the final decision on who goes to heaven or not depends on GOD! Amen!

I assume that you are referring to Christianity's define of heaven.

In order to go to heaven you must not only be good ,but also follow gods teachings (10 commandments) for the rest of your life which is extremely hard. It is the equivalent of saying pass every test for the rest of your live and it is every single on equivalent to asking you to score a hundred on everyone. It is f***en hard. For instance have you ever seen one of your friend's girlfriend and wanted to hit it or have you ever was something that belong to someone else and wanted it? I would bet that the thought have crossed your mind. Then you have broken one of ten commandments. It is the one that talks about how thou cannot take something of your neighbors(friends and others) and not even the slightest thought may cross your mind. So for those that have then you failed the test.

From what I know Jesus said said no man is good as we have all broken the Law.

And its not about the 10 commandments, the purpose of the commandments is to show you are a sinner in need of Jesus Christ. Those without Christ are judged by the Law when they die and we have all failed it.
Rather its faith in Jesus Christ

But the bible does distinguish between those who believe/acknowledge his existence and those who actually follow him. those who talk the talk but don't walk the walk are considered to be people with dead faith.

The bible even says what will happen to those who think that because they are professing Christians and no longer under the law they can sin all they like (licence to sin).

Kind of like a diplomat, he is not under the law.. but that does not give him licence to break the law, if he does willingly... he gets booted out.

As for Catholics it depends on whether they follow the bible or follow the popes who have controlled the Vatican, the catholic doctrine and the bible are diametrically oppose in many places. some people probably just call themselves catholic but only follow the bible i really don't know.

But what i do know is the path to heaven is narrow and the road to hell is broad.

Thats about all i can say:stickpoke:

Edit: wow how far back did that guy go to find this thread...

The ones that don't pass their exams was part of god's plan. Instead of feeling sad about failing those students should be thanking god!

    ^ @Loner

It was very very hard especially for me to have failed my finals, resulting me not graduating this year. But going back to him was harder, as I was trapped in sin, depression throughout this summer, but going back to him was the best thing. Without God, I would be like a wondering soul, but I'm back at uni atm - thankful everyday for the time to study for my resits and now my motivation is to graduate next May with God by my side. I'm thankful God made me realise and reflect over personal mistakes and now I've moved on and without the thought of the failure again.
