TVB's 'Every Move You Make' plagiarizes American series 'Lie to me' This year, TVB has been plagiarizing from beginning to end. The other night, TVB new series Every Move You Make premiered and was accused of plagiarizing American series Lie to me. Even TVB Producer (Gary Tang) predicted earlier there will be a series copying Lie to me! The night before, Bowie Lam's Every Move You Make premiered, Netizens discovered that the series plagiarized American popular series Lie to me, whether if it's the characters or the story, both series are very similar. They do this all the time, I hope you guys realize. Another great example was the first few episodes of "A Great Way to Care." It was basically a Chinese version of House, where the doctor isn't as much of a jerk and they don't go around breaking in and thinking patients have lupus Edit: They even had a board for him to write on like House did.
Plagiarism may seem like a minor problem. However, this raises an important issue - TVB's incompetence in script/story writing. Quality of recent shows have been sub-par and TVB fails to come up with new ideas, so they resort to plagiarizing good foreign shows.
well they take from us we take from them, it´s the same everywhere lol. or would u think Scorsese would´ve ever won an oscar, if he didn´t get the script from infernal affairs and turned it into the departed? or what about the lake house? with Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock? which was actually taken from the Korean movie Siworae? if u don´t have better scripts at hand u just try something that was successful anywhere else and put some asian/western background into it, it´s better than to repeat all those oldies again and again and they get worse and worse lol...

TVB dramas are usually just copied off from others or just reusing old ideas form their other productions IMO

i didnt watched the american series's 'lie to me' so i wouldnt know if tvb plagiarize or not...but if tvb did copy this one, they did a good job cuz i kinda like 'every move you make'...it is a fresh idea plus it is a detective series which i havent watched for a long time.
i like Bowie's series. and i have not watch Lie To Me too. in fact i enjoy watching this series. hope it is as good.
