H1N1" flu shot is in short supply, i don't think i can get one even if i want to. I guess i will wait and see if they have enough supply for every one.
i just read .. the questions now aren't on the side effects but whether the vaccine is even effective at all. those who got the shot .. fill us in on the feeling afterward .. not that i am going to get it anyway.
well it won't be "effective" against the current one but the one we had a couple months ago, just like all flu vaccine, they are a trace dose of the previous season's flu injected into the body so the body can built antigens against the old ones and you can be prevented from last season and have a foundation for this season's...and it doesn't mean u won't get the flu at all after the shot, the chance is decreased...
I've already gotten one, because I am in the high risk group and also because I work in healthcare. Yes, that video is frightening, but have they really established causation? Also, there is risk in everything. Don't bother going out each day because you might get hit by a car!
Well I also got the shot since I work in a clinic. You just get the normal 2 day muscle aches and then everything is fine. Although I do feel like I get tired a lot more easily after the shot, maybe its just me. I just think the media has hyped it up to a lot more than what it really is.
I would but can't take it yet. I am the only one in the family who didn't take the shot yet x.x cause im not in the high risk group.
For those who are going to get it I suggest you get the shot in the arm that you don't normally use. I think it's a bit stronger than a normal flu shot... it left my arm all swollen for a few days
i just got mine straight from the family doc with no line ups, ironic that 2 peeps who were in my house came down with h1n1 the next day
^ any side-effects since getting it...?.. the dr's rang our house asking if we wanted it last night...so we're all thinking about it nows....
nope, not even getting the normal flu vaccination shot. i see no point in getting either. as it is very unlikely for me to die from the flu or contract the h1n1 one. and i work in the health care industry
Alright everyone, I official got "H1N1" b/c I had to take my grandma to the hospital and I think I caught it when I was there... Really shitty experience, Major sore throat One side of the nose is clog Fatigue eyes Have to move slowly or else the head hurts Warm and cold the same time Muscle feels sore But yea, I probably still wouldn't get the shot...
everyones an internet doctor these days -er i got the shot and you know what? im not dead or crippled and best of all i won't have to deal with the real risk of possible death and a shitty experience of h1n1... there are risks for everything and i can guarantee you there are more dead people because they didn't take the shot to the ratio of people with severe side effects of taking the shot but hey i doubt any one of you is a doctor with a phd and discussed it with other doctors to tell me otherwise not to -roflyawn
^ It happens really quick because during the day I was fine... by the evening, I felt like shit... I got alot better right now, hopefully will be up and ready tomorrow... I was suppose to do bake sale today, but I don't wanna effect like 100 more people lol
