Hair dying

So I want everyone's opinion on this. But I just recently got my haircut, and I want to dye it that orangy/brownish shade that all the Asian guys are doing now a days. I was wondering should I dye it while it's short and dye the roots when it grows out. Or just wait until it's about the length I want it then dye it.

FYI, over-the-counter hair dyes fade with the quickness, especially oranges/browns. I would know since I've dyed my hair every color on the rainbow. Since your hair is short, I'd recommend forking out the extra cash to get it done professionally.

Yep, that's the problem with orange hair dyes. By the time your hair grows to be your ideal length the dye would have already faded out, so if you go in for a touch-up, you're going to end up with a darker color on the roots and a lighter color at the top. So for that reason you'd have to re-dye your entire head.

I'd rather wait it out so I could have the completed look instead of doing things half-way out of anxiety.

 

i think you should dye it while you have short hair ( because it cheapper to do it on short hair ) and than just do touch up yourself or at a proffetional . as for the hair color if you dont want to pay a lot of money you can try palty or gatsby for men japanese hair color and do it yourself its easy and they ahve great selection of colors

try to look at men's egg ,ollie magazine ,men's non no ,smart or woofin to see which color would look best on you .

 

if u dont want to dye it all da time wait till it has grown a bit, if u r not fussed about itr do it now

 

lol i recently dyed my hair with gatsby and make sure you dont leave it on too long like me... hahah I couldnt read japanese so I left it on for 45-60 minutes. Gatsby dye is supposed to be left on for 20'ish minutes. My hair was like suppa bleached red brown outdoors, orangy brown indoors.. and about a week later faded to a brownish orange indoors and ichigo orange outdoors... FAIL...

and dye your hair after you have your hairstyle because what I did (which is also wrong) was dye my hair first then cut my hair. Unfourtantely the roots werent't dyed too well so i had kind of a orange brown black combo going. lool... yeah well it was my first time so you cant blame me ^_^

i say dye it now, when it grows longer then dye the roots only

 

you should dye it purple that's the new trendy colour

 

i say just dye it now and dye the roots back again later. since your a guy i assume your hair will grow long pretty quick.
