J-Twins is the result of a joint talent search campaign between Hong Kong's Star Entertainment, famous artist manager Willie Chan, and Japan's Fuji TV variety show Gold House. Iwamura Nanami (Jay) and June Tang (June) won the Japan and Hong Kong auditions respectively, and they received 3 months of training before pairing up to debut in Hong Kong and later in Japan too. The pop duo's Hong Kong debut single My Dear Friend is a multi-lingual ballad with lyrics in Japanese, Cantonese, and English. An instrumental version is also included on the CD. i'm pleasantly surprised! to be honest i didn't have much expectations, having lost hope in the HK music industry long ago but these 2 ladies have nice voices and though the song is very simple and typical, it's got a nice sound to it. i'm looking forward to hearing more of their music
