I was reading a meme my friend wrote about herself, listing out 25 things about herself. One of the things she wrote is "I hate dislike Christians because most of them are hypocrites, including myself" After thinking about it, i agree with much of it. I too am a christian, and yes I'm a hypocrite (hey but so are you!). Who isn't a hypocrite? Ok maybe the Pope? the Dali Lama? Budda? BUt seriously. It's just so hard to deal with people who are always bashing on christians because we dont do as we preach. Ok so we do like 9 things right, but people only notice that 1 thing wrong. Do they not think we are human? I dunno where i'm going with this. I was just thinking after my Christian friend said that comment.
"I hate dislike Christians because most of them are hypocrites, including myself" Dang, hate dislike Christian, now that is madness right there... Well obviously every is a hypocrite but I guess to what extend.. It's kinda like bitching at someone for lying and everyone has lie once in their life..
i know u got that on face book hhahhahh in ur friend's note then she tagged 25 ppl and u're one of them and now u gota tag 25 ppl u wanna know about =p ppl bash on every religion and the world is corrupted..fukign AC0110's fault lol
^ hypocrite right there..!!!....kung kung so badd....tsk tsk...-nono... omggg kodak....stalkerrrr.....-shock
lol the pope is definitely a hypocrite. The guy is supposed to be bound by an oath to poverty yet he wears thousand dollar robes, a jeweled hat shaped like a giant phallus and lives in his own city.
i elaborated on another thread. i hate christians because most christians i meet go: you don't believe in god/jesus, you go to hell. listen to my bible, a book with no scientific fact, a book based on oral stories and heresy, a book potentially fictitious. the other christians who don't say shit like that agree with other religious views, which supposedly contradicts regular christian rule #1 i'm sorry, but i'm sick of it.
^ if u hate christians then theres a lotta ppl to hate dann.... i know christians who tried to convince me... i dont hate or dislike em....their just trying to teach people what they think is right....n they really do believe u will go to hell if ur not a christian....so if u look at it from another perspective.... they just care about u n dont want u to go to hell.... Hypocrites....yes there are a lot.... n funny thing is... someone i know who is christian once told me... u can make any mistake n know its wrong n do it anyway as long as u acknowledge the fact that its wrong... he just gave sinning a whole new interpretation.. i was like...ok why are there 10 commandments then.... just to KNOW ur sinning... but u dont have to follow em.... hmmmm personally i dont think thats fair.... say if u have a person who was being good all his/her life but never heard of jesus or just never got into religions (so thats one sin, living life without knowing god blablabla) that person is going to hell... n another person who is a christian who commits all the bad sins such as killing etc....BUT he acknowledges the fact n the last day when hes dying he just says oh forgive me god, for what i have done n i believe u n he etc etc n he will go to heaven? not very fair but when i asked my friend about it he said that only god can judge...=X errr ok =X oops m i going offtopic?
^ Yep, you can be a serial killer, but as long as you repent to a priest you've got a ticket into heaven. Kind of ironic tbh.
Every body is hypocrite, the funny thing about religious ppl is that bash others religion and they get made when other do the same to them. I think what ever religion you believe in is fine, as long as it works for you and improves your life because of it. just don't push your beliefs on to others who aren't interested.
^ i agree at the pushing n bashing bit.... i dont understand.... all these holy wars.... wtf.... ur not ALLOWED to kill ppl no? how can u say ur a good muslim/christian/jew if ur killing other human beings just because of the fact that they do not believe u... how can a religious person not think he/she is wrong when their killing "out of the name of their god" thats dumb!
Notice the implicit quantifier in the quote "I hate dislike [all] Christians because most of them are hypocrites, including myself" No different than saying I hate certain skin colored people cause most of them do such and such. Back to what was intended, yes, most people are hypocrites and I don't think its a sin to be one. I mean, if we are not hypocrites and are able to do all that is told in the bible, won't we be as good as Jesus?
I can only deduce from your post that the Pope, the Dali Lama, and Budda are possibly Gods since humans/mortals have flaws and make mistakes. Win?
Everyone's a hypocrite sometime, but no one can be perfect. Doesn't the bible say something about how sins will be forgiven? It's just how bad it is =O
its one thing being a hypocrite, but at least you admit it. i know people who are true hypocrites and they are always denying it and its never easy talking with someone with that thick of a skull
are you stalking me <insert weird shocked face> you do understand that Christianity has been split into thousands of different groups. three big groups would be catholics, mormons, and protestants (sorry if i butcher any spelling). And even among those there are spilts everywhere, each group has their thoughts and opinions. Protestants are taught that they should read and learn from the bible directly, giving them the opportunity to percieve the bible has they see it (God guides them). Just because the Pope might believe something like how Hierarchy matters, doesn't mean that all Catholics are going to agree that his decision is the correct decision. He is human after all, and no way is he divine enough to always be 100% correct. It's not like the last Pope and the current Pope share the same mind 100%. THeir experiances have taught them different things, and made them value things at different rates causing them to focus and teach different things. Just because one says one and the other says the other doesn't make them hypocrites. People are individuals. Sorry Dann but I think you are being overly critical. It's just like if you had a brother/sister who said one thing that you didn't believe. But i said you two were hypocrites because you believe in opposite things, because you should believe teh same thing because you came from the same parents.
wait i don't understand... one would be a hypocrite if their sibling believes in opposite things? are you saying because two individuals came from the same parents, they should have the same beliefs? that's far from the definition of a hypocrite........................ def: a person who professes beliefs and opinions that he or she does not hold in order to conceal his or her real feelings or motives
