I'm trying to figure out something and hopeing someone here would know the answer. So Shiseido had this line called UV White which is no longer being sold in USA or Canada. It was a whitening line. There is this new line called White Lucient. I've got a lot of mixed info, that in Japan that UV White and White Lucient are both being sold that White Lucient doesn't do the same as UV White, (White Lucient just gets rid of brown age spots but does not whiten the entire face) That White Lucient is the newer version of UV White (which doesn't really match up to the previous statment. Some sites say that UV White is discountinued I tried researching for the topic but got confused Does anyone know?
i think UV white is discontinued. you can buy it online at selected sites ... there is a difference between the two! White Lucent is not a newly packaged UV white. UV white doesn't whiten despite the "white" in the name UV white ... it's more like making your skin look radiant or something (i forgot what the SA told me). white lucent is the true skin whitening product from shiseido. to brighten/whiten fade spots, etc. hope that was helpful
Yes I was told that UV WHite is for whitening/lightening your skin tone, while White Lucent is more focused on evening the skin tone (ie facing spots), but not lightening the skin over all.
Yesterday I asked a Japanese Shesido representative (not the american representative, because they are told different things since you aren't allowed to sell skin Whiten products in USA) She told me that UV White focuses on the outer layers of skin for whitening, while White Lucent will focus on both the outer layers *surface layers) and the under layers (growing skin) therefore WHite Lucent is a better product (of course according to the sales person)
^ wow thas pretty interesting actually...even though i dun use these products...ubbbber expensive.. and aint shiseido the company that got bashed awhile back something up with the creams or was that kanebo or something or another...cant remember...but def a japanese brand...>.<
US is not suppose to sell whitening products? my mom buys white lucent all the time. her skin has been getting brighter. i've tried using the facial wash, but my skin gets irritated by it.
yeah, my mother and I went through a trial stage for white lucent and our skin just couldn't take it. it just gets irritated. But i can take shiseido UV essence [absolutely fucking brilliant for dry patches- literally 10 hours later and my skin was NOT dry at all] I usually use 'the skincare' range, results take longer, but it's well worth it. My skin is as fair as a redhead's now. XD
Well they aren't selling White Lucent as a "Whitening" product, but instead as a "brightening" product "Whitening" sounds like an anti rasical issue while "Brightening" is used to promote anti aging dark spots That's why some of the american cosmetics sales girls dont know about the whitening effects of the product, because they aren't told so
