^stick with those cheerio prize tattoos. i use to put that shit all over my body and i thought i was bad azz. question. how scrawny is scrawny. im only 5.5'-5.6' and just a bit over 135 lbs. im gonna get a tattoo over a scar on my chest and the only meaningful thing i can think of right now is a tiger over my chest in flames (born in year of tiger).
Well, you know .. in the US military .. people are encourage to get tattoo (probably a requirement, can't be sure) so that if something happen in the battle field, they can easily identify the body.
why do u think people try to remove or cover up tats at work and applying for jobs! its a stereotype but its one of the biggest that is true which people will judge u by the cover. I automatically stereotype when i see a tat, especially on an asian girl. At one point in their life this person must of been a Tramp , Trouble Maker/Hangs out with trouble makers if not then possibly low self esteem or and pressured to be in and foolish maybe cuz of love? this is my stereotyping and i know jumping to conclusions is wrong but having tats is like carrying a gun, i think it makes people question themselves about you who this person really is. Definately not the girl next door or if she is then shes not gettin enough attention. Again im not sayin gettin tats is wrong but stereotyping will always come into play unless society changes and changes how most people view it but for now we will usually stereotype bad things associated with it , who knows there may be some truth behind it =P tats are popular with gangs and girls are usually marked by them
wow...ang...that sounds kinda dumb... didnt expect that coming from u cuz usually do have some kinda "dow lay" when u say stuff.. has it occur to u that some people might think it looks good n thats why they wanna do it... I havent slept with many guys, i dont hang out with trouble makers n nor have i ever thought about getting a tat "cuz of love" when i got my tattoo i was actually in the period where i felt best... no self esteem problems or anything so please dont put everyone in some category or try to explain ppl's behavior i really dislike it when ppl tryna put a stamp on me...its just wrong I have 2 tats... and hardly anyone expects it from me... meaning no one thinks im falling in the category that uve mentioned above... even when i speak to ppl i know for a long time n we stumble on this subject they'd act surprised im not a saint but i dont think im bad, im still trying to be a good daughter... call my grandma to check on her, look after other ppl, stand up in the bus for old ppl, im not a slut, only smoke like a few times a year + no criminal records etc its sorta like those ppl saying every person who smokes marihuana is a druggy... dude... u know how many ppl i know in NL n in Australia who smoke marihuana n have good jobs n are "normal" etc? or another example: when a a guy is dating a girl from china everyone thinks shes with him for a greencard...god....wth... just cuz their from asia doesnt mean they want to date guys for greencards only... point= dont categorize!!!
i like tattoos but im scared of the pain and i doubt they'd look good on me.... wouldnt mind my family name or some tirbal shapes tatooed onto me upper arm
^ ^ sure u may be all that im not saying that you aren't my point is most people are still going to stereotype on all sorts of things no matter how wrong it seems. If you think people aren't shallow or you never stereotype then you should know the average person judges another person within 4 seconds of seeing their appearance then they look for things to justify it. and yes i know most normal people like it for looks or memories but im sayin my stereotyping comes in to play when i see a tat on an asian girl since its not in our culture for any sweet innocent girl to get tats. Yes i do back track and know its wrong to think like that but stereotyping is a powerful subconscious.

I agree with handuken .. dumb as it may sound .. I will never hire anyone with a visible tattoo .. appearance matters .. professionally speaking. Tattoo are associated with gang but also evilness ... just a bit of history there .. lol
