    I dont understand this... how could this have happened, did he just wake up one day and go "well, im gonna call a TV station and show them i can chop 100 coconuts" and he had never tried this out before hand?

    You'd think someone would have mentioned to him "hey, you think it might be a good idea to see if you can even crack a coconut apart with a judo chop before you go on national TV?"

    I guess common sense really isn't as common as we think.
