A Missouri State student came back to his dorm to find his Xbox 360 stolen. Realizing the controller still connected when turned it on, he set out to find the console. And he did. This is probably the only set of circumstances in which this would work — 360 stolen, thief lives 30 feet away, that's only gonna happen in a college dorm. But credit to Ryan Ketsenberg for using some critical thinking and old fashioned sleuthing to get his stuff back and bust a thief. According to The Standard (newspaper of Missouri State): Best part? They recovered the console before the thief got home to notice it was now missing from his dorm. Payback's a bitch! (via kotaku)
^ that would just start a huge unnecessary battle... better to report him, that way he gets a note on his criminal record and will probably be expelled from the university
how do you steal an xbox without turning it off, was the wires still connected to the owners mains supply? if it wasnt connected then how was the computer on, if its not on then the pad is no use?? ohh the dude robbed it then plugged it in down his own end.. with no pads.. hmm americans...
thanks for that generalization of all americans..... lucky this kid found his xbox back, i think he handled it quite well... and for the record he should have found the kid's photo of who did it and published his face all around that campus newsletter along with the story
fit a tracking thing inside it. its cheaper than losing a bike, i just bought a £450 MTB thats like 23 tril n US currency, i ant got no tracking device in that but im not gona get of it while im out either >.<
