It would be interesting to see what the autopsy shows. Pepper sprays or foams only work if someone is able to feel its sting. If a suspect is either so doped up or so psychotic that their body no longer transmits the effects to their brain, then for all intents and purposes, the deterrent is useless. In a perfect world, the officers would have had secondary or tertiary non-lethal options to go to before lethal force. And lest anyone suggest that the cops could have shot him in the arm or leg just to wound him, that generally is considered a Hollywood only option. That is, that kind of sophisticated trick shooting only occurs in movies. In the real world, when things are proceeding at a frighteningly fast pace, the officer aims for "center mass," that is, the largest target presented by the torso, where all the vital organs happen to be.

They can't really do that, they have to consider the risk of missing the target and hitting someone else, so they have to aim for the abdomen area.
i do think it was a little extreme for shooting. taser or somethin non lethal would've been better. it was only a kid. helps if i know wat the original title was to avoid doing it? :S

i remmebr in gr9 or 10 jeffery reodica was shot by police because he was holding a rock and they thoguth he had a weapon which was clearly not the case...the police didn't even identify themselves as cops...so fuking bs...and the cop didn't get time for this incident
