Haha, no worry.... too many ppl giving her chance already. Anyway, whenever something is being hard sell too much, the effect would turn around. That suppose to mean, "oh... is her again"
well, i haven't seen any of her acting so i won't say anything yet. i would think she's good with such a talented mother putting so much time into caring for her. she also has a dad to lean back on for advice; thus, she can't go wrong beside her look. i believe her weight is somewhat genetic so not really her fault. she just need to get beyond that and show us the "talents". a lot of people are superficial these days so it will be a hard sell but then again, it's normal cuz the last place on earth you wanna see is an ugly pig running around on your television screen, correct??
Perhaps you are right. But personally, I feel that TVB had create her a lot of chance by making her appear in different shows, where as an audience, I'll say many other more experience (or beautiful) young actress might deserve such appearance as well. This is the so called 'hard selling' from my part, wish I believe will eventually defeat the purpose. To those who really agree with the 'hard sell' statement, I believe her weight is not the cause.
Oh??? Is it? 1st. I'll say I'm expressing my personal opinion over her 'over' appearance on the TV only. Not really into critic (i guess) 2nd. If your information is true, then is again proven, she's not only being hard sell, but also being pampered and protect? That's y, i was "Oh Dear..."
joyce finaly makes an appearance on ep 2 and wow her character is cute... the "clumsy" one hahahhahhah and so clueless
it's suppose to be bad it's her first series... she looks very nervous too but at least the theme song she sang it well
again, i am holding on the "bad" part for now but i do agree that the theme song is not bad at all. i also agree with tanckeng that she's well protected thanks to her mom. she's like the little fat kid who grew up right along with all these veteran artists and tvb management. especially with her mom's passing now, everyone in the business felt as if they're obligated to look after her. after all, her "dad" is not really there for her in the past, not sure about present and future. joyce does appear to be a smart kid and i think she will catch up if things truly doesn't work out for her in the industry, she should and will move on no doubt about it. there's only so far that she can go. if she's really into the E business, she can always be the driving force behind it; not necessary gotta be in the spotlight. as for the reference about the opportunities, i don't think those show appearances are real chances to show her skills and talents. she wasn't hosting or interviewing or anything of that sort. thus, lets see how she will play out in her first sitcom series.
Her acting needs a lot of work, it's pretty bad but her singing is pretty good. Everyone knows, the reasons how she got to where she is now is mainly cause of her mother and father.
Well at least it's a good start for her, since it's like a long series. She will improve throughout the whole series.
I disagree completely. Aside from having a heritage and history that launched many sons/daughters of elite members, Joyce comes from a more clean background. Not someone like Nic, or Edison Chen from rich daddy mommy. She doesn't have to worry about her weight, much like her mom which actually earned her character. Shame on you for talking about weight. Aside from that, I think she's fine to me, a little irking, but ads flavor. Most of the actresses like Stephy are so hyped, so fake, so much gossip they WOULD NOT ever do a tag along show like this.
hmm i really think if she just stuck to singing then it be ok... true is only her first time but..still..acting school first then actually act in a drama! shes still young! she has time to do the whole process!
the main reason i was gna skip this was because of her..but after giving it a go, shes not all that bad cos she's got quite a likeable clumsy girl character..also thinkt eh ending song is not bad..
