H2 I believe releases less energy than gasoline, so you would need more of it or have a car that can travel less miles, also storing H2 is a problem as its highly explosive and needs to be at -253C to store as a liquid
no... although hydrogen is the most abundant element in the universe... it is too hard to extract... for one, it's economically expensive and two, it's not environmentally friendly as some may make u believe as currently, the pollution created via the energy required to extract the hydrogen would be about as much as driving cars on gasoline and diesel newayz...
if the container it was in was ruptured, probably yes it would explode as the liquid rapid heats up, it will expand at a huge rate then any naked flames/sparks and thats BOOOOM but im sure they will design some kind of pressure vessel which can take a fair few "bumps" before it would rupture
yes but thats same with normal cars nowadays.. if the tank rupture you gonna have a bigass problem already xD but if you can think of that.. they ofc will find something so it wouldnt be so unsafe
That better be one hell of a vessel.... like a three+ layer of shielding.... inner layer of titanium, middle layer of 3" thick steel coated with another layer of titanium....
lol 3" steel would weigh very very much and would be very strong, you need explosives to get through 3" steel plates
