May be it's just me but I don't know. I've lived in the toronto + toronto surrounding area all of my life and I've been in some pretty diverse area. Here's a list of a few Downtown Korean Town - between bathurst and christie station Uptown Korean Town - yonge street between sheppard and steeles greek town - by the donlands area little india - by gerrard from coxwell to about greenwood China town - broadview and spadina and everywhere in markham Uptown little italy - main street around the highway 7 area. I visit these places quite frequently, but I've never been to an area that's been very japanese dominated and I think it's about time I do. So where are all the japanese communities here?
it seems like japanese people don't need to leave the country with their economy Though i wish i did i've never met, been paired up in school or talked to a japanese person. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics_of_Toronto seems like they make up 0.4% 19,010 total. im sure they are around but a very small minority of the minorities. Alot of sushi resturants are run by chinese =P wait i take that back there was this one time this cute japanese girl served me sushi and gave me extra on the house =P
little italy also on college and bathurst....st clair dufferin to keele jamaican at dufferin and eglinton..i think..cause every time i go on allen rd i see a lota black ppl vietnamese area is ossington and college tibet area in parkdale
lol... ang u bragging again... u sure she have u an extra one or were u hiiighhhh aaanyways... just go to sydney if u wanna meet japanese la... hahaha.. most japanese restaurants are opened by japanese
heh i was actually looking for some authentic jap places in toronto. Turns out theres a place not too far from the pacific mall . I think it was a bit north of victoria park and steeles, haven't been yet but i think it's more like a mall type thing. They have a website umh here it is: http://www.japantown.ca/ looks like i have somewhere to visit over the weekend
always thought japanese and korean shared the same town (west end) -lol come to think of it....there isn't a Japanese Town in Toronto. Ang proves a point too why leave your country when its booming?.
hmmm ..... dont know much either ... new here markham =P .... to me ... the place is still confusing ..... but i do notice a lot of Chinese opened sushi places X_X ... wasabi doesnt taste nice ~_~
