meh well i knew she wasn't actually singing, but i had assumed it was her voice pre recorded.... this is kind of unfortunate, but its not something unique to china. Any other nation would have done something like this, people put a great deal of value on appearances, hell look at the US, if you aren't good looking your fucked. people are gonna bash on how this is china being cold hearted, but this isn't an issue with china, its an issue with humanity.

knew this from the start i didn't expect it to be her voice nor did i care if it wasn't hers, she represented a good image for china and chinese people around the world.. im sure this wouldn't be a big deal if this were in any other country but china. Just think of it as one big live stage show (which it is), magic tricks and all enjoy it for what it is, a dazzling performance. Don't snub the magician after you'd learn it's tricks.
The girl who sings she's just 7, if I were her, I'll be so hurt. She's not that bad in terms of looks, I feel bad for both of them :x

What really said it all to me (see the words in red): I can certainly understand if it was simple lip synching if they were fearful that the girl would, say, get stage fright and forget her lines, have a sore throat, or whatever. However this was not the case. If this was supposed to be a Karaoke show, then at least be up front about it. But they didn't want anyone to know. But since they were then found out, the music director has openly admitted it; that all everything meant was, China is openly admitting that the Olympics is to be used for pure politics. This comes after it had admonished the world for using the torch for the same purposes. Again, I've said this before in all my previous posts (it doesn't matter which side of the fence you sit on this); the Olympics has historically ALWAYS been one of the most politicized venues known to man, and no amounts of "we shouldn't politicize sports, yada yada..." is going to change that.
