    Because the world is a nasty gossipy place, and they're royalty. Commoners just love to see special people get some sort of evil visited upon them. Jealousy, envy, karma; call it what you will but bad news about high society always sells well. I'm sure theres lots of psychology involved but I'm too lame to figure it out :nuts:
