cuz the oc is oced by company that don't void warranty? so it makes a difference performance near 8800gt? :S
and i kinda pointed out... factory oc is like nothing lol its like instead of getting a 2gb ipod, u get a 4gb ipod instead of a potential 20gb one... whooohooo
w/e.............. find me a deal on 8800gt thats less than $130 without rebate please? -whistle lol which is nearly impossible still since 8800gt all required rebates to be the total of $130 or less.. and only online only i see>.< lol
i don't see what's wrong with rebates... i never got screwed out of rebates b4... I even got CompUSA rebates back... and all the Staples ones too haha
GTX!! stop being a BITCH and GET IT!!! http://reviews.cnet.com/graphics-cards/nvidia-geforce-8800-gtx/4505-8902_7-32132889.html Think of all the money you saved on passed gadgets.. now it's time to spend that money you saved!!
lol agree with ecko here, the 8800gt is the better choice. besides u can overclock it as well so makes it even better.
I don't think I want overclock anything.. and GTX is way too expensive for me. It is coming out of my pocket, not my parents.
Lol i get that vibe from you too RTH..... ill just tell you the 8800gt How come i don't believe that...
8800gt and if you can find a deal its worth the extra money you drop on it. if not your ATI RD3870 is probably the best bang from your buck at the 130 price bracket http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/graphics-card,1923-3.html what you also want to factor is if you are going to use 2 video cards or not. If you use ATI you are going to need the ATi/AMD chipset to get crossfire going and the Nvidia Chipset to get SLI going
ati hd3870 and Nvidia 8800 GT OC both offer about the same performance +/- 5 % depending on the type of application... so go for the cheaper one.
already did.. in most ppl opinions, if your into high resolution gaming, HD3870 ownz the 8800gt badly in high res+setting
the 8800GT beats the HD3870 1GB in Call of Duty 4, Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, Half-Life 2: Episode Two, Unreal Tournament 3 and Crysis in low and high res http://techreport.com/articles.x/14654/1
this is the best time to get the 8800GT 512mb.!! make sure get 512mb... Dont get the 9600Gt czu it not a good gaming card. get this one.. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150280 i own this one.. make sure your system have enough space.. it very big.& long.
i dont mind if you prefer the HD3870,, but it doesn't own the 8800GT so dont give ppl false statement. If you google HD3870 VS 8800GT you will find out alot of comparison(i think you done that already)
in benchmark, low res, low setting 8800 gt wins, in high res, high settings HD3870 outperforms it.. especially in crysis and other new games.
