Anyone on here know how to hook their PS2 up to their PC? I did a few searches.. got Dscaler.. but not quite sure how to use it. I have the composite cables n tv tuner card.
yea its possible. ive hooked a vcr to my 7 year old PC before, using the vcr as a tv tuner, so i can watch TV on my screen. all it requires is a tv tuner card or a video card that supports component inputs, and a software that runs it. i used something called cougar, but thats wayyy old school shit. since im building a rig, im thinking of getting an internal card, instead of the external, as i have planned before.
http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-86-49-en-70-2nl.html the XGA box or some other switch boxes if you don't want the tv tuner card, but also from my experience with the tv tuner card, the video doesn't look that good even if i put specific settings. maybe it's just the software's fault though
lol trying to do it so I can play ps2 thru my monitor.. i think theres a vga cable to hook it up directly.. but I wanna try out the tv tuner card.. lol
^lol then buy the tuner card and install it lol, if it has the composite port then you can do it....but the tuner card would require to keep your computer on inorder to play the ps2...the switch boxes doesn't need the computer to be on, but they cost more lol.
no the composite to vga cable doesnt work. trust me. ive gone through this phase where i wanted ps2 over pc monitor. from ps2 to pc, you need an encoder. just save yourself the headache and get a tuner card.
