i recently bought a tv but i dont know how to connect it to my video card... my card is a 9600 gt and the tv is a Toshiba 32" regza... can anybody help me please T-T
yep, u just get a dvi to hdmi cable and then it should just work. u could use other cables but the dvi to hdmi cable is prob gonna be the one that ur tv takes if its hd.
ur tv doesn't have dvi input? I would think most would have it... u can also use s-video if u wish...
^tv's have been scrapping the dvi port for the new HDMI ports. however, if your tv is this model http://www.amazon.com/Toshiba-32HL66-Diagonal-TheaterWide-Integrated/dp/B000FA0DFW you can get a vga cable and plug it into the pc vga port on the back of your tv. This port is the blue headed video adapater that you will see on your desktop. they are relatively cheap and you can find them at www.monoprice.com for a good deal
or hdmi to hdmi cable if your video card have that output my 2600xt has dvi, s-video, vga, and hdmi output
just hook everything up then go into the display settings in the control panel or if your graphics card have a seperate control program, which i think urs does, then just go in there and switch the display to tv or something i guess.
^ HDMI cables can be quite expensive, no idea why...... find someone who works in an electronic store, they should get really good discounts on HDMI cables...
well u can get them for cheaper than £20. just get the cheapest one. thats wat i say and besides the quality between all the cables are the same as the data is sent as binary 0s and 1s so if someone is trying to advertise u to get a more expensive HDMI cable and say it gives better quality, they are talking a load of bulls**t.
bought my hdmi cable for $4.00 USD. a lot cheaper than the 50-100 USD they are looking for at the store.
You need HDMI cable. Then you go to Display Setings and choose TV on the Monitors tab. Click Apply and OK.
cool! thanks for the help everyone... i didnt even end up getting the tv though... cause my friend's manager sold it to someone else... thiinking of buying the sharp aquos instead... is 1080p worth it over the 1080i? cause the tv im getting is kinda small.... either 32" or 37"
its nt worth it for anything <32" unless u sit near it i suppose cause i gt 32" 720p and its pixilated wen i sit near and play my ps3 but then agen i dnt got nothing to compare it to but if there isnt a major difference <£75 shud go 4 it
www.monoprice.com great place for getting cables and it hink they have worldwide shipping @renegade..1080p ain't worth it on anything < 40
I presume that you recently bought HDTV has HDMI support. What you need to do is look what connections your video-output is. So take a picture of the back and then we can look for a solution
his card has 2 DVI outputs. I also connected my Samsung LCD 32" TV to my computer by using a VGA to VGA cable. like the one you use to connect to the monitor. its like having a bigger monitor connect to your computer.
