Need Help With My iPhone

it uses wifi as far as i know..

yes the phone does have wifi, that was one of the main reasons to why the phone was so gd at the beginning and the internet browsing on it is proper nice.

 

It has both wifi and edge

But not all youtube videos can be loaded, can they?

 

so ur saying you cant go internet through wifi/edge/gprs? but you manage too connect with ur pc and install games on it? or canNOT?
- if you cant connect with comp..thats cos uve too install SP2 on XP..Vista i dont know really -blush
- and your connection..its cos your network..your network should have a homepage where you can find a manual how to set your edge or gprs settings
if its through wifi..just goto \SETTINGS \WIFI..put that ON \CHOOSE A NETWORK..you should see a list..pick your friends WLAN net..type the pw..and join..
or ask your friend too add your iPhone on their WLAN net..ive never tried this..but your iPhone should have a wifi-address just like your notebook has a ip-address =D

should work =] but i cant cos im on GPRS..but i did manage too search and see a list..but not exactly the youtube movie..real bummer..still no time too check it out on WLAN -,-

 

youtube videos do work if ur on the iphone using the wifi connection. tried it at the apple store.

 

my iphone is unlocked jail broken and works wen connected by pc..
only problem is that i cant seem to be able to connect the phone o the internet by wifi...
it keeps on saying wrong pass word but i know its the right one...

 

it might be because the pass has capitals, because i couldn't connect to my uncles internet because i fogot to put in the caps



and just wandering, what are the bad points of having ur phone jail breaked??? cuz i just realised, unlocked and jail break are 2 different things in the UK lol

i never tried entering the pass word in cap... maybe thats the reason but i try it later...

ok now the iphone can connect to the internet by wifi
using cap on my friends internet but not on mine..

 

must be ur internet connection then i guess. have u selected the right security type before typing the password?

 

nope...dont know how to do that or wot it is-unsure

 

well ur router can have different type of password protection, eg. WEP, WPA and WPA2, when entering the password u have to also select the correct security protection for it to work.

yea, that could be the problem.........or your router can only allow a certain amount of connections to it, because at my aunties, her router only will allow 4 connections in total, since she uses wireless with 1 comp, i use it with my laptop, her nintendo wii, and my iphone, it wont allow me to connect my sony ericsson w960i through wifi even though i've put in the right pass

 

wah man..crap it i use keep on my friends net if i need to update or install some software
in the iphone..

 

ye or u could just connect it to ur pc to install software on it can't u?

 

nah i just save the hassle and just stick to using my friends instead...
