another family crisis drama.......pretty sick of it tell the truth. HOG, Drive of Life, and now this?
Yeah..i oso got such thinking..sound like another type of Heart Of Greed and its oso abit same as " Yin Ji Sui Fan" i forget the english name, the series talks abt make up accessories.. shotted by ' Gigi Lai, Mosses Chan, Chan Mun Ji and lots mores..
^I think you mean The Charm Beneath. That was a good series...HOG too. I think I enjoyed it mostly because of the cast. But the cast in Silver Chamber doesn't really appeal to me...
i loved HOG, didn't fancy TDOL too much though-- tried watching that but it took such a loooong time for things to develop -.- hmm.. havent heard of this series though, might see who's in it and give it a go lol

Yaya..thats the series, once i watch the preview through Astro On Demand, its give me 1st impression is same as The Charm Beneath.... but, i wil watch too.. although sound like abit bored la.. but oso wil watch,cos is different ppl.. but, feel like, Shirley Yeung is the pity girl, always being pusnish..sure sad story.
i kinda like this more than TDOF..maybe bcoz TDOF was abit too long and draggy. abit unfair to compare this series to other series that are already aired when it's just only the beginning of it. maybe it will offer something new? but true though even tho the storyline might not be the same. but it focuses on one thing, the jealousy/hatred between family members. HOG..i think tht's diff from this because it's a diff era and from what i read from the synopsis, it's about one of the wife trying to revenge on the lies and accusation made upon her.
I just watched the 1st episode and I think it's okay but I have a feeling I won't like it a lot. The cast of this series doesn't make it seem more interesting to me. I didn't really like TDOL but I liked HOG.
I kind of like this series, it has a lot of veteran actors and actresses in it which I want to see. I am kind of tired of seeing the young ones in almost every drama. yeah this series is about family feuds so it is supposed to be somewhat similar to charm beneath and heart of greed
this kind of drama is my favourite. the classic series often has the settings of some rich men with many wives and then all the wives will fight against each other to get all of the head of the family's wealthiness
Same here...I didn't like TDOL cos it was too draggy, but I loved HOG. I watched the first ep, and I definitely find it boring...maybe it's the wrong era for me? But I liked The Charm Beneath...hmm...maybe it's the cast? But I felt this show was a little over the top, all the rivalry between the wives. So unrealistic, especially the second wife...
I think the drama is pretty crap. I watched the first few episodes and i was pretty much bored out of my brains. Its probably one of them sad, depressing series. The whole revelation of family secrets and in the end, before the truth comes out all the good people are dead kind of a series.
I think that this series is similar to HOG but I wouldn't call it "2nd Heart of Greed". I'm getting sick of people comparing all the family dramas to HOG. HOG was good but not good enough for all future family drama series to be compared too.
i like this better... is kinda boring keep watching the so call faming actor and actress... they are not even as veteran that the cast in this series. episode 15 now... and still getting excited about it
Shouldn't compare HOG to this. This is just another drama based in the olden days, when women were less fortunate. I wouldn't say it falls under the "family crisis" category... it focuses more on the disadvantages of being a woman back in the day. Just another bitching show, and how cruel people can be if they have authority. There's a lot of "framing" going on in this show too.
i'm done watching this series and i think this is the series where tvb have tortured the most the characters in the series. The ending is a train wreck but at least it has some sense in it.
just finished watching the drama and I really liked it, so many things happen! Some parts were funny and sweet but the majority was heart-wrenching! At least it ended well for most of the characters... Anyway, I highly recommend this drama!
