Well, credits must be given to Elaine Yiu's great acting skill which added alot of chemistry between her friendship with Linda. I dont remember seeing both of them acting in a series and If this is really their first time, they did a great job. Some of their scenes brought back some school memories with my good old friends. Hana and Ga Ga touched me by the way they care for each other, make fun, etc. Its quite a waste Hana died so early in this show.
Elaine Yiu actually does good in this series as well. Her relationship with Linda Chung is like they are really sisters. But she had die, that really sucks, i wish she didn't have to. But for the money... she had to, oh well.
wasnt for money, she ate it all because she had no choice from cops and the reason she was selling was because she had to return the "yun-ching" to the gangster guy, not for money lol. BUT YEA, she made it seem so real and im glad she left early or else Linda would not change as fast haha>.<
Yes, i know she had to eat the drugs because if she didn't, she would of got caught by the police. But i am trying to convey that... she had to go sell the drugs for money. If not, then how can she return the favor to the gang leader because the gang leader helped her show his boyfriend who she really is...
i liked her in this show too, i think she's in 'the 7th day' too right? as niki's cousin??. or maybe that's my mistake (she has a totally different image) shame she had to die :( she was a bit of a bitch treating hing jai like that though :( anyone else thinks she is really pretty?
Elaine Yiu was in The Seventh Day as Nikki's cousin. Her appearance has changed in this series... thats all. I really felt bad that she was treated bad but i think she is cute though.
Elaine Yiu needed to die so that Linda's life will be reformed. You see throughout the series that Elaine had no motivation to change over and be good again. Examples are that she got together with Linda's stepbrother (the same guy who tried to rape Linda), she manipulated "Hing Jai" like a fool, and lastly exchanging a favour to beat up Linda's step brother for selling drugs that lead to her demise. Though she was Linda's best friend, she was a bad influence on her.
Yup, I thought she was pretty. Elaine had pretty good chemistry with Linda. They were really like sisters looking out for each other. She was a much more toned down 'wet mui' compared to Linda, but deep down inside, she was much worse than Linda. Linda's character was actually a good one, she just forced herself to act bad so that she'd annoy her stepmother. Elaine was a rather bad influence for her though
i think elaine is rele pretty too. i think she is the best looking in this series, pity she's going to die. i haven't even watched that far. grrr.
She lost so much weight. She wasn't like this before. I still think it was foolish and too staged for the way she died. Eatting all that is stupid. She coulda hid it somewhere.. Too bad she exited.
Yea i thought she would have put it all in the teapot next to her, so that it would dissolve.... er but i guess the water woulda been really cloudy lol :b but i doubt the polive would have checked.... oh well.. a touching moment =(
^ I think it was pointed out earlier. She has to die in order for Linda to dramatically realise her mistakes and reform
Yes dreyvii and now Linda's got Maggie looking out for her too! it's almost like Maggie replaced Hana in the series as the less drug addicted alcoholic friend. =D I think Elaine looks really pretty in A Journey Called Life.
Linda was on the verge of already being a good person. In fact Linda was the one who reprimanded Elaine, but oh well..
^Yeah, but with Elaine around, she was still rather influential on Linda's decisions. If Steven wasn't there to stop her, she would've gone and distributed the drugs...
LOL, you can go either way with the story. But from what was presented, Elaine did not have someone with strong enough influence to motivate her to change (that's my opinion). Linda was her best friend and tried to convince Elaine to change, but her attitude/response was like along the lines that she enjoys what she is doing and don't need to change. She's just like "yeah, yeah, ok, ok" response. Either way, she died in a stupid way (thanks to TVB's screen writers).
