Sunday April 13, 2008 Hong Kong As the actresses arrived on the red carpet at the Hong Kong Film Awards last night, fashion critics worldwide sharpened their pencils. Here is batgwa.com's guide to the fashion winners and losers. (Sound of drum roll...) And the winners are... Shu Qi (舒淇)'s HK$250,000 Valentino, in various fabrics and shades of this season's trendiest colour, silver, suited her bamboo-elegant frame perfectly. Gigi Leung (梁詠琪) looked stunning in a $40,000 Loewe little gold number, managing to look classy and sexy at the same time. Zhang Jing Chu (張靜初) looked breathtaking in a $160,000 Valentino gown, matched with $2.2 million Chaumet jewellery. The pearl white colour suited her clear flawless complexion wonderfully. And the losers are... Charlene Choi (蔡卓妍) looked clumsy in her yellow $100,000 Gucci gown. Her small frame failed to carry off such a sharp colour. Charlene, who was nominated for Best Actress, not only lost out on the award, but lost out on the $3 million worth of borrowed jewellery that she was wearing that her boss' wife had promised she could keep had she won. Vicki Zhao (趙薇) looked very frumpy in her white dress and silver heels. The actress looked like she was wearing a net curtain. (Sound of drum roll...) And the award for Worst Dressed goes to... A tie. The biggest losers of the night were Teresa Mo (毛舜筠) and Stephy Tang (鄧麗欣). For some unfathomable reason, the two ladies decided to model bin bags. credits: batgwa.
Those types of critique is pathetic. SuQi looks pathetic in that thing. So much slippage, and color is murky. Charlene looks great, same with gigi. I can agree that Mo and Stephy dressed tasteless for the event.

Stephy and Charlene dresses are ok wat....Not as bad as mentioned...and i dun like Shu Qi's dressing...
i didnt really like any of the dresses. Charlene's was clumsy and the black belt thingy kindof ruined it. she also should've done something with her hair. perhaps if she did she could've pulled off the dress a bit better. Gigi's dress reminded me of a nightgown!!! but if i have to choose, i think the white one would be the best of the group.
Actually i agree with the article. Charlene did look swamped in the dress, it looked too big for her frame and the belt was a mistake, though i wouldnt put teresa in the worse category, maybe its just down to individual tastes.
Charlene looks cute in her dress. Bright color fits her fun personality. But I agree that Stephy's choice wasn't the nicest.... Looks a bit garbage plastic bag weird >_>;; And yeah *shakes head at Teresa* she could have easily done waaaay better.
i guess different designs have their own meaning, there's no right or wrong answer. i think ah sa suits that color

I like the dress of Zhang Jing Chu, nice and simple gigi's dress is also classy :jump: I dont like terese's dress, too baggy
