Sunday April 6, 2008 China Jay Chou (周杰倫) held a concert at The Venetian Macao last night. Although, during the concert at the casino resort, Jay told his fans not to gamble, afterwards, in an interview, he admitted that he did gamble and had lost HK$20,000. Onstage he said: "My mum told me not to go to casinos because you'll lose a lot of money. I only came to this casino to see you all." He asked rhetorically: "Did you come to watch my show or to gamble?" His fans shouted back: "To watch your show!" Security at the concert was tight. Food and glow-sticks were prohibited, and members of the audience had their bags searched on entry. Some fans managed to smuggle glow-sticks in, and Jay, in an act of defiance, asked them to throw these onto the stage so he could use these as drumsticks. Jay's mother and grandmother attended. Stars in the audience included Eric Tsang (曾志偉), Andrew Lau (劉偉強), Jaime Chik (戚美珍) and members of Macao's powerful Ho family. credits: batgwa.
If you got as much money as Jay Chou and you got the talent to make some more, I think, since being the the biggest casino city of the world, you can waste 2500$CAN. It's not that much when you make millions CAN a year.........
this just goes to show how easily u can lose so much money in a short space of time. for him this is alrite as its hardly anything but i guess it will explain why he told the fans not to gamble, cos for them it will be a lot of money. im also pretty sure that jay we not gamble so much in the future cos even though it isn't a lot of money its still a lot of money to lose in such a short space of time.
lol Jay chou is even more Diao now,=P losing 20k lol, but then again , its still a big loss, at least hes not a big spender like Fa Fa Gong Zi and waste it on crap =P
I think even 200,000 is nothing to him, dunno how much he makes per concert, but the amount he gets is something that might take me a long long time saving. =( i wish i had singing talent....
