A friend wants to install an easy to use Chinese text editor on her PC. She used to use one called Chinese Star in her old Win 98 PC. Her current PC is WinXP. I goggled for info on that software and found the WINXP version retails for $299 Is there any good ones for dl?
What about NJStar? I've heard the demo lasts indefinitely but I haven't tried it myself: http://www.njstar.com/
ye just get njstar. i think thats the best one out there. alternatively u could always get a tablet and then u should be able to write in chinese.
lol , theres one on the microsoft disc but u could download a language pack off the microsoft site (i think)but NJ star is good, used it before the inbuilt one
Yea, I heard NJ Star was pretty good, I personally don't use it as I don't need to write a lot of Chinese.
njstar is a popular used software or if your friend is good witn pinyin she can use the free builtin chinese text writing tool in windows and the best part about the windows on is free and pretty easy to install
from windows xp on they have added all types of input for asian characters...i've found using the taiwan input method the easier to use as u can just type in pinyin wassup with the cats Shw
you know cats and dogs Jyutping input method is the only Cantonese input method available in Microsoft's Vista products. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jyutping it was not av on xp only with ext appl
hmm...didn't know about that...don't keep up with them as much...but i wouldn't switch to vista just to use that...considering how crapy vista is
My friend found that the MS Chinese text editor that came with WinXp was a bit too much work. I'll see how NJ Star is seeing how it's recommended. Thanks
if your friend types in pinyin than make sure they install the taiwanese keyboard and language setup in XP its a lot easier to use than the hong kong or china one..just skip all of this and tell her to buy one of those hand writting pads u can just right chiense direct
ye get a writing pad, they aren't very expensive at all and its so much easier as u just write the words rather having to deal with the mouse to write or learn how to type the chinese characters in.
writing pad is prolly best choice unless u get the keyboards with the strokes written on them but thatll prolly cost more+more complicated =)
